Successfully Marketing a "Replicated" Website
First of all, let me cover what a replicated website is. There are probably more repliated websites out on the world wide web than there are unique sites. A replicated site is any site which has an exact duplicate content of itself out there on the Internet. So, unless a website is created with all new, fresh information, it is replicated. That means,... if you purchase a ready made website or if you are given website a free website,... it is replicated. So why do we use replicated sites? There are Pro's and Con's to replicated websites. On this web page I will be showing you how you can benefit from both sides! Take the benefits of owning a replicated site (all the products you are able to provide) and do what many others may not do! Work your site, customize it, and make it profitable! Customize it. Market it. Roll up your sleeves, learn your business, and make it successful beyond belief. Set goals & work to attain them. It can be done! Your success will be dependent on your effort. Your success will be in direct relation to your efforts! Thomas Jefferson once said, "I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have."So, before I give you the benefits of a replicated site, let me give you the drawbacks. The main problem with replicated websites is that they look exactly like their fellow replicated site to people and more importantly to the search engines. So, here is the problem,... you have 100 replicated websites, each look exactly identical. Each site owner wants to be found in the #1 position on the first page of Google for their keywords. Each site owner thinks that they deserve to be there. So, who gets that privilege? Would be the one who submitted their site first? Or, would it be the one with the most relevant domain name or sub-domain? What hope does a replicated site have of getting web traffic? Well that depends. The Benefits of Chicken Website Soup... The obvious "Pro" of replicated sites is how quick and easy they are to create. This process allowed us to create a website for you rather quickly. If you were to hire someone to create a website with thousands of unique pages, that would take a very long time and the cost would be out of this world! So, now you have a replicated site, what do you do? How do you market it? This is where the fun begins! Okay, I want you to visualize this senario. You and I are standing in a commercial kitchen. We are both geared up and ready to compete in a cooking contest against each other. There we each stand, each with our kitchen aprons and chef hats on ready to start cooking. In this contest we will be completing in the category of soups. We are told that we wil both start with the same base ingredient, chicken stock. After that, we can get creative. So there we are,... ready, set, go! We both add our chicken broth to our pots. After that, we go hard at work and and our own "secret ingredients." Tada! We are both done. The results, I have a wonderful chicken soup! I added chicken, onions, celery, carrots, and then got a little creative and added cilantro, salt, pepper, plus maybe a secret family treasured spice. My soup is wonderful! The judges love it! Then, we look in your pot. Ummm,... a delicious creamy corn chowder. I love corn chowder. Again, the judges go crazy! We both win! I win in the soup category, you win for the chowder category. Now, imagine that your replicated site is the chicken broth. It's a wonderful good quality chicken broth. It's not some cheap boullion cube or imitation "just like chicken" meat substitute broth. Your site is the real deal, top of the line, quality broth. It's not an Amazon or Christian Book affiliate site, which by the way, doesn't build a repeat customer based business for you, but rather for them. So, here we go!... you will start with a good stock foundation to build your business. It will be that solid foundation upon which you will build your business.
The 3 Basic Steps:
My Chicken Website Soup Recipe Planning Stage of the party,... plan your Guest List. Who will you be entertaining?... Plan out your business plan. Do some keyword research and plan what keywords you will be targeting (try using Google or use a key word traffic estimator like WordTracker). Start with a good, high quality chicken stock,... your online Christian bookstore should do nicely. Add some celery, maybe cabbage, onions, and/or tomatoes,... get your own domain name. Add some colorful carrots,... customize your logo/banner. Salt and pepper to taste,... customize your home page content, meta tags, etc. And now for the important family secret ingredients,... customize your store buttons, maybe use a more unique store template (here is a company that offers 3rd party customization & SEO),... PLUS... when ready, maybe upgrade and use! the additional features that the silver store plan offers. The soup is still good without your family secret ingredients, however those secret ingredients may give it that boost it needs to be it's best! So, now you have a good soup. Even a good soup will spoil if no one eats it! It's time to serve the soup.... a good SEO (search engine optimization) plan will include promoting your site to search engines, directories, blogs, social sites, etc. You've got to get your site out there for people to start finding it! It doesn't happen by itself nor by sheer miracle. You've got to market your site one way or another. Building links to your site can help bump your site up in the search engine results. Find a good untapped keyword phrase or two and market it until it's getting first page rankings in the search engines!
