 | All you need to know about writting grants..... May 7, 2010 |
| This was one of the most informative books on "grant" writing I have ever read. The author does a great job of laying all the information out on the table in a simple understandable format. Personally I felt a little blind going into the process of trying to get a grant but this book really helped clear the air for me and made me feel confident about what I was doing. The author really is the "Grant Goddess". | | | | Gereat information...fun to read Apr 22, 2010 |
"101 Tips for Aspiring Grant Writers" is written in short, easy to absorb chapters that make it easier to squeeze into a busy schedule like mine! Veronica Robbins has clearly established a wealth of expertise based on many years of experience and success as a professional grant writer and, like a true master (or in this case, goddess), she is able to provide readers with many thoughtful "tips" without ever being condescending or overwhelming. Many of the chapters on what might be considered dry topics are quite literary in the hands of such a skillful writer!
I like the practical advice, chapters that follow the sequence of a typical grant proposal, space to write my notes, and the attitude of the book. It all works well together to support the process of grant writing - for the novice, the experienced, and those in between. If the reader puts even a few of these tips into practice, a "good" grant application just might turn into a "great" one. I highly recommend this book.
